Technogenesis: global and regional manifestations

Types of pollution

As noted above, a form of classification is the classification of the nature of the pollution sources of pollution.

Contaminants

Environmental pollution caused by human activities — at the expense of emissions (discharges) of gaseous, liquid and solid wastes, manufacturing, public utilities, transport, from agriculture, and so on of the pollution comes from the recreational systems. With a wide range of pollutants, gases, heavy metals, organic substances, artificially created radioactive elements, etc.

The concept of the state of environment and pollution

On the State of the natural environment can be judged from the point of view of the natural evolution of nature and position of the person. We'll talk about anthropogenic effects on the natural environment.

Global investigation of Technogenesis

The uncontrolled growth of population and economy has not only already has regional implications, but has led to global change. Prediction comes true in the Vernadsky to make mankind because, on scales comparable to geological forces, although the noosphere (mind layer) can only roughly estimate the importance and danger of these processes, and especially not able to accurately predict their course and consequences.

Population doubling time

Easy to calculate that the current rate of population growth will double its population by 40, and industrial output will double in 20 years — that is, during the lifetime of the current generation of people. This, of course, be aware of the uneven growth of individual regions of the Earth and its qualitative differences.

The exponential growth of technogenic load on the environment

Since the beginning of the industrial revolution, i.e. for several hundreds of years, the growth of technogenic load dominates the development of socio-economic systems of the Earth. Thus, the growth of the population of the world is moving at a speed exceeding 1.6% per year, which means a doubling of the population over the age of 40. But industrial production is growing even faster (for 1970-1990 Gg. 3.3% per year, i.e. twice the population growth). During these same years, coal consumption has increased 2.5 times, the capacity of thermal power stations-in 2.5 times, nuclear power plants — in 23 times. Consumption of mineral fertilisers increased by 3 times and in the early 1990s, it was on the field for 15 times more than in the early postwar years. Even more intensively developed other branches of chemical industry-manufacture of man-made fibres increased 10 times, 60 times in plastics.

Man-made: global and regional manifestations

In slovarespravocnike n. f. Reimers "Environment" is interpreted as a man-made process of natural complexes changes due to human activity. It is to transform the biosphere is influenced by the combined geochemical processes related to technical and technological activities of people removed from the environment, concentration and realignment of a number of chemical elements, their mineral and organic compounds.
